Quarrymans Cottage

Quarrymans Cottage is a Grade II listed Purbeck stone cottage in the middle of Worth Matravers, less than 20 metres from the village green and close to Langton Matravers. The pub is 118 metres away, the beach is 1 mile and the shop is 1.7 miles. It sleeps four.

The front door opens into a living and dining room running the width of the cottage. The lounge end has a stone fireplace, an original inglenook beam, a wood burner and a Smart TV. A couple of steps lead up into the kitchen, which has an island with bar seating, an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The family bathroom has a bath and a shower. The 17th-century box staircase from the dining area climbs to a king-size bedroom with its own washbasin, a twin and a separate WC. A sunroom has soft seating and a door to the upper garden terrace. The cottage has a private water supply.

The rear garden is enclosed and terraced, mostly paved, with stone walls, outdoor furniture and seasonal planting. A gate leads to the lane, and a few metres along it is a garage for one car, with room for a second beside it. A stairgate, a highchair and a travel cot with a mattress and bedside rail are available. Dogs cannot stay. Arrival is from 16:00, and the cottage is left before 10:00. The cottage suits a couple, or a small family with a toddler, who like old buildings and a short walk to the pub.
