St Mary's Chapel

St Mary's Chapel is a semi-detached chapel conversion in West Lulworth, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has high ceilings, large windows and a suspended walkway linking the two first-floor bedrooms. Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area, with underfloor heating and a large woodburning stove in the sitting area.

There are three bedrooms for six. One double is on the ground floor behind a glazed partition and uses the ground-floor shower room, which has a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC. Upstairs are a second double and a bunk room, and the first-floor bathroom has a roll-top bath, a basin and a WC. A cot and highchair are available, though guests should bring their own cot linen. The kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a Nespresso machine (bring your own small pods), a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher. There is a TV, wifi, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

The enclosed lawned garden has mature hedges, a gravelled seating area and furniture, and Hambury Tout, a chalk hill above the coast, is in view. The driveway takes two cars. The nearest public pay-and-display car park is at Lulworth Cove, around 15 minutes on foot. The shop is 50 yards away, the pub 0.1 miles, and the beach 0.6 miles.

Pets are not accepted, although the owners cannot guarantee that no pets have stayed before, and smoking is not allowed. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. The chapel suits a family of up to six, who want a ground-floor bedroom and a shop within walking distance.
