Mill Cottage

Mill Cottage stands in Upwey, inside the Dorset AONB, and sleeps two. It is a reverse-level cottage: the bedroom is on the ground floor, and you climb the stairs from the entrance to reach an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are included in the rent, as are bed linen and towels.

The double bedroom downstairs has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a walk-in shower, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. Upstairs the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, and a dining table seats two. There is central heating, a TV and WiFi.

The rear garden has a lawn and bistro furniture, and a river runs through it. There is flowing water at the front and rear of the cottage, so take care near the water. There are steps to the exterior of the property, and off-road parking is for one car. The cottage sits on the owners' grounds. The double white gates must be kept closed because the owners' dog may roam, and machinery at the back of the cottage starts automatically without warning.

This is an adults-only cottage that will accept a babe in arms if you bring your own travel cot and bedding. Pets and smoking are not allowed. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am. The Wishing Well Tea Room is 200 yards away, the pub is 0.4 miles and the shop one mile. It suits a couple who want a woodburner and a riverside garden to themselves.
